Luck

Meet Sam (voiced by Eva Noblezada), an unlucky young girl who recently left an orphanage to start her own adult life. She gets a job at a craft store but seems like some kind of klutz who can’t seem to do anything right. Her boss puts her out on caddy duty because things are too hectic in the store with her there. She is “best friends” with a young girl from the orphanage named Hazel (voiced by Adelynn Spoon) who has a stroke of bad luck every time she is about to be adopted.

Pinocchio

Robert Zemeckis’ Pinocchio 2022 is a remake of the cult 1940 film, but in live action. In this film we follow the story of Pinocchio who is born as in the popular tale. It is above all a wood carved by the old Geppetto, in the image of his deceased child. When he expresses the wish to have a new child, the blue fairy brings Pinocchio to life. He could live, talk and act, but he would only be a real little boy if he became wise, brave and loyal. Something very difficult for little Pinocchio, since he will encounter various obstacles on his way.

The Bad Guys

Mr. Wolf and Mr. Snake chat in a diner before robbing a bank, then embark on a chase with the police in the streets of Los Angeles. In less than five minutes, The Bad Guys has chained enough winks to knock out each other and controlled skids to attract our attention. Sold by the director as ” a Tarantino for children”, the new Dreamworks spreads its cinematographic influences from its backfiring introduction which eyes as much on the side of Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs as Steven Soderbergh’s heist films and Guy’s gangster movie.

Minions: The Rise of Gru

The yellow little blockheads are back in action along with their villainous child boss Gru in “Minions: The Rise of Gru” movie, which is roughly a sequel to 2015 Minions and a prequel to ‘Despicable Me’ series. This new movie is filled with usual frantic antics, silliness, gibberish goobers, and acts of pure madness. The little henchmen of Gru known as minions have once again proved that they are no stupidest than any other being in the world. The storyline is pretty straightforward and there is always some idiosyncratic fun to be found in every new scene of the movie. It can be said that while watching the movie, your tummy might get some laughter-induced pain.

DC League of Super-Pets

Krypto, Superman’s inseparable companion, loses his special powers at the same time as his master, who is kidnapped. The other superheroes of the DC universe, rushing to his rescue, are also imprisoned. To free them, the brave dog must trust four four-legged friends, who learn to master the powers that were accidentally given to them. Krypto made his first appearance alongside the Man of Steel in a DC Comics comic book in 1955, and has since been seen numerous times on TV and in movies. He even starred in the animated television series Krypto the Superdog, in 2005 and 2006. Endowed with much the same powers as Superman, since he too comes from the planet Krypton, he is super-powerful and he flies. He wears his red cape and necklace with pride, also driven by a strong sense of duty.

Ratatouille

Funny, moving, well thought out and wonderfully well written, with a nice moral without being sluggish and with a nice review of the culinary world, Ratatouille automatically ranks among the best Disney/Pixar. Directed by Brad Bird, already author of The Incredibles, the feature film is a real delight, the director signing here a much more successful film than one might think, more touching, more eccentric and funnier, the many characters and other facial expressions being a real treat for the peepers. So we immediately meet Remy, an extraordinary rat with extreme culinary tastes who, unlike his congeners, prefers to eat good things while ardently following the advice of Auguste Gusteau, master of the French gastronomy of which Remy will, following an unfortunate accident, end up in the restaurant located in the heart of Paris. He will meet here a young clerk, Alfredo Linguini, hidden son of Gusteau who has no talent for cooking.

Up

When Carl, a grumpy 78-year-old decides to make his life’s dream come true by tying thousands of balloons to his house to fly off to South America, he never expected to board with him Russell, a 9-year-old young explorer, always very enthusiastic and quite intrusive… This totally unpredictable and improbable duo will live a delirious adventure that will plunge them into a journey beyond imagination.

Zootopia

The moral of Zootopia is therefore more Pixar than Disney, more pragmatic than enthusiastic, more progressive than opportunistic. The film encouragestake a step back from the organization of a society, however utopian it may be; to consider the individual rather than the mass, never to rely. Zootropolis is thus an allegorical mirror of modern American society, organized around a judicious anthropomorphism. A society divided into groups of animals – large, small and very small, themselves divided into “predatory” and “prey” animals marking visually but also behaviorally the differences between species. By giving everyone a well-determined place, this society shapes inevitable discrimination (both positive and negative) as well as inequalities.

DC League of Super-Pets
“ DC League of Super-Pets 2022) .” Over the past few years, Warner Bros. has expanded its DC Comics offerings to the big screen and expanded beyond its core live-action world, the latest being the DC League of Super-Pets. The animated superhero action-comedy shifts the focus of the Justice League to a new team of superheroes made up of the loyal canine sidekick of the Man of Steel and a group of animals from the shelter. Krypto the Superdog has a long history in comics since the character was created by Otto Binder and Curt Swan in 1955. Like Superman, Krypto draws his power from Earth’s sun and is able to help his friend Krypton fight the crime. Although the DC League of Super-Pets tries to teach lessons about friendship and vulnerability, the characters and story outside of Krypto feel unfinished.
Blazing Samurai
Hank is a playful dog who dreams of being a samurai in a world where this privilege is reserved… only for cats! Mocked, refused by all the samurai schools, he meets a big grumpy tomcat, a master warrior who ends up agreeing to teach him the ancestral techniques of the samurai. The apprenticeship will be tough for the restless and dissipated young dog: you have to learn to handle the sword, become agile like a cat, master the martial arts, and Hank is not very gifted. But to become a samurai, Hank gives himself… a lot of trouble! When the Shogun’s army of cats sweeps over the city, the samurai apprentice’s courage and cunning will finally come in handy: “cat’s going to barter, he’s going to beat them up”!

Cheaper by the Dozen

The two exes are a source of support and tension. Kate is their backup babysitter and “the little ones” (both sets of twins) love her, in part because she’s on the space side. They tell her they’re going to play a drag race and she smiles, “I love RuPaul!” and falls asleep. Dom loves his children and is generous with their siblings, but he’s been away most of the time and when he’s around, Paul feels threatened. “At least Kate isn’t richer and ten feet taller!” There’s a whole thing about Dom having much bigger feet than Paul, and the two dads having a silly dance at a school basketball game.

Fireheart

A 16-year-old girl follows, who wants to live her dream of becoming the world’s first female firefighter. Georgia Nolan (voiced by Olivia Cooke) is the daughter of retired firefighter Shawn Nolan, who quit his job to become a tailor in order to protect his daughter. The father is aware of his daughter’s dream, which helps her around the house, but he tells her what any father would have in his situation: “Daughters can’t be firefighters. Set in New York in the 1920s, the film takes a turn when a mysterious fire begins to strike various theaters on Broadway. New York City Mayor Jimmy Murray asks Georgia’s father “Shawn” to retire and investigate why all the “firefighters” who respond to distress calls never return. Georgia gets a chance to prove herself by joining her father’s makeshift team as “Joe.” He disguises himself as a boy to prove them wrong and succeed.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2

The production of Sonic ‘s first opus was as eventful and bizarre as the film itself. After setting the Internet on fire with a first trailer revealing the atrocious look of Sega’s blue hedgehog, Paramount hastened to make its post-production technicians even more charcoal to correct the situation – even if 2 years later, we is still wondering how anyone could have been ok with the design they were planning for Sonic. Despite these adventures, the film was a great success at the box office and among young audiences, thus initiating the production of a second opus immediately after its release (with its two post-generic teaser scenes, namely the arrival of Tails and the image of Dr. Robotnik stripped of his hair and finally sporting his cult mustache, there was already a clear desire to relaunch the adventures of the supersonic hedgehog on the big screen).

Enchanted 2

Disney’s Disenchanted, the long-awaited sequel to the 2007 fantasy musical Enchanted starring Amy Adams, is about to be released. Enchanted was a smash hit in 2007, adapting the genre to include both live-action and traditionally animated parodies of archetypal fairy tale princesses. Produced by Disney, it generally paid homage to classic Disney Princess musicals such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White while satirizing their recurring tropes. With Disenchanted slated for a Disney+ release on Thanksgiving 2022 (November 24), the world needs Giselle (Adams) more than ever.

Puss in Boots 2: Nine Lives & 40 Thieves

Coco

For several generations, music has been banned in Miguel’s family. A real heartbreak for the young boy whose ultimate dream is to become a musician as accomplished as his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz. Determined to prove his talent, Miguel, by a strange combination of circumstances, finds himself propelled into a place as astonishing as it is colorful: the Land of the Dead. There, he befriends Hector, a nice boy but a bit of a trickster around the edges. Together, they will accomplish an extraordinary journey that will reveal to them the true story behind that of Miguel’s family.

Moana

Disney has outdone itself over the past few years with smart, funny, humane, and aesthetically flawless animation productions. One only has to think of  Wreck-It Ralph, Big Hero 6, Zootopia and the inimitable Frozen to see that the company is on a roll. Although Moana affirms loud and clear in her film that she is ” not a princess “, she will nevertheless probably find herself alongside Merida, Rapunzel,  Elsa, Cinderella and other “princesses” in the Disney universe. Of course, Moana is part of this new generation of heirs to the throne; young go-getter and rebellious women who don’t need men to emancipate themselves. Besides, there are no charming princes in Moana, no young firsts ready to do anything to win the heart of the beautiful explorer. The story’s male protagonist is a narcissistic demigod who appears more like a father figure than a potential love interest.

Tangled

Flynn Rider, the most wanted bandit of the kingdom, did not expect, while taking refuge in a mysterious tower, to find there a beautiful and reckless young girl with impressive hair 20 meters long. Rapunzel is, in fact, kept prisoner there by Mother Gothel. However, the young girl quickly makes a deal with the seductive brigand. For more than 70 years, Disney animation studios have enchanted entire generations of viewers with magical stories that are both funny and touching. For their fiftieth feature film, they do not escape their reputation by offering a magical and moving fairy tale while being resolutely modern. Rapunzel is, in fact, not only a perfect tribute to the most beautiful films of Mickey’s premium label, but also a radically innovative work, anchored in its time by its technology and its tone. Delivering a clever mix of humor, emotion, action and endearing characters, Rapunzel is undoubtedly the most beautiful and moving film from Walt Disney Animation Studios since Beauty and the Beast.

The film follows the story of the very young Riley, who is uprooted from her life in the Midwest to follow her father, who moved to work in San Francisco, and Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust, the little characters who rule the ” emotional console.”  By Riley, and which influence her daily actions.

Frozen

Very close as children, the sisters Elsa and Anna were estranged when the magical powers of the former caused a small accident to the other. Years later, on the eve of her coronation, Elsa is not sure she can contain her ability to freeze objects, nor can she confide in Anna, whose memory of the problem has been magically erased by a tribe of trolls close to the royal family. When the tension explodes and Elsa escapes, freezing the whole kingdom, Anna decides to go and recover it, leaving in the company of the rough mountain boy Kristoff, very different from her beloved Hans.

WALL-E

The last object from which we would expect a shiver of emotion. But Wall-e is not an object, it is a sentient robot, curious and eager to learn new things. And what he wants to learn today is love. Today is any day in 2805, and there have been no life forms on Earth for 700 years, only garbage. Some advertisements and video releases, still active despite the total exodus of humanity, inform us that the Wall-e robots are cleaning the Earth of waste, while the survivors (of capitalism, not a world war) are in space waiting to be able to return.

Hugo

Hugo Cabret is a 2011 film directed by Martin Scorsese and based on Brian Selznick’s novel The Extraordinary Invention by Hugo Cabret. Scorsese’s film is the first of his career to be in 3D, a choice desired by the director to increase the involvement of the viewer. Hugo Cabret is a sweet and touching film that indirectly traces the life and deeds of Georges Méliès. A tribute to the great filmmaker and inventor of the modern concept of special effects. A human and moving story that sees many well-known faces involved in its staging. In fact, Scorsese directs a cast made up of little stars Asa Butterfield and Chloë Grace Moretz, and big names such as Jude Law, Ben Kingsley and Christopher Lee.

The Lion King

The Lion King is undoubtedly one of the most loved Disney classics, I think it’s almost impossible to find someone who doesn’t know the story and who hasn’t seen him at least once in his entire life. The death of Mufasa, Simba’s growth path, from a wild puppy to a hero, to become King: moments that have marked the history of animation and that we find faithfully reproduced here. Yet something does not add up. I’ve thought about it for a long time and probably yes, perfection can also be a flaw.

The Mitchells Vs. the Machines

On the surface, therefore, this could discourage some from being able to find something remotely original but, as we will see, The Mitchells Against Machines makes constant pronounced referentiality a pivotal and conscious feature, taking apparently abused themes and vocabulary and reinventing them, encouraging meanwhile, those who look to tap into and test their personal culture in terms of memes. It’s the night before she flies to a film school in Los Angeles and teenager Katie Mitchell (voiced by Abbi Jacobson ) is on the brink of freedom. Although she will miss her younger brother Aaron (director Michael Rianda ), a dinosaur enthusiast, and her mother, elementary school teacher Linda ( Maya Rudolph ), is from her once very father Rick ( Danny McBride ). close but now very little sympathetic, the one from which he needs to get further away. Feeling that this might be her last chance to spend time with Katie, Rick cancels his plane ticket and loads the entire family in the car for a trip to Katie’s destination.

Mistaking the beautiful Tiana for a princess, during a dance party, he begs her for the kiss which, according to the tales, will make him human again but the unexpected happens and it is Tiana who transforms herself into a very pretty, slimy frog.

Finding Nemo

Finding Nemo is an animated film by Disney Pixar and directed by Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich, winner of the 2004 Academy Award for Best Animated Film. A resounding success with audiences and critics, 13 years after its release in cinemas, the film is still in 35th place on the list of the greatest international box office ever. The merit of a screenplay second only to staging, capable of making adults and children enter the heart of the moving miracle of growth, a path made of enthusiasm for the discovery and the corresponding apprehension of the parents, forced – in spite of themselves – to expand those arms that for a long time have held their little ones, this time to leave them free to live their experiences, with all the relative unknowns.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

It was October 29, 1993 when The Nightmare Before Christmas, a classic of animated films, directed by Henry Selick, produced and conceived by Tim Burton, premiered in US theaters, the screenplay was edited by Michael McDowell and Caroline Thompson, as regards the soundtrack was entrusted to Danny Elfman, Tim Burton’s longtime collaborator. The vocal cast includes: Chris Sarandon (Jack Skellington, dialogue), Danny Elfman (Jack Skellington, song and catch), Catherine O’Hara (Sally and I see), William Hickey (Dr. Finklestein), Glenn Shadix (Mayor); as for the Italian version we find: Renato Zero, Laura Boccanera, Marjorie Biondo, Francesco Vairano, Ennio Coltorti, Andy Surdi, Fabio Alessandrini, Ermavilo.
