Want to watch movies on Netflix? Here, you are in the right place, and in great company. Since the spread of streaming platforms has become massive and global, the debate on the distribution and use of cinematographic works has opened in which it seems that sometimes we forget that we have always seen films on television, and this does not led to the extinction of the halls.
Watching a movie on the small screen of a TV, a tablet or a smartphone is not comparable to the immersive, stunning, intense one of the cinema, is evident to all fans. Just as it is evident that in the absence of traditional funding or distribution, for a homeless work the landing of streaming is a truly fundamental lifeline. In particular, the incredible convenience of Netflix is transformed into an increasingly complete experience as its film catalog expands, including originals, recent releases, classics and small jewels to (re) discover. Read down below and see the best movies which are streaming right now on Netflix. Choose the best Netflix movie and binge watch right now.

Don’t Look Up
On December 24, after being distributed in cinemas earlier this month, Don’t look up, a “disaster movie” film starring Leonardo Di Caprio and Jennifer Lawrence, together with a super cast of great Hollywood stars, was finally released on Netflix. from Meryl Streep to Cate Blanchett, from Timothée Chalamet to Jonah Hill and many others. In the weeks and months leading up to its release, Don’t look up made a lot of talk about it: for its story – two scientists try to warn the world of the imminent impact of a comet capable of exterminating the Earth – for the her incredible cast and a series of anecdotes from the set (like the one about Meryl Streep initially offended because her colleagues called her “goat”, which means goat but which stands for “greatest of all time”; or like the one about Lawrence who has wanted to smoke a joint to identify with his character).
Space Sweepers
While the Star Wars universe is in full review phase, including TV series and new film projects, and the Star Trek universe continues to expand dramatically on the small screen, Netflix brings the interesting Space Sweepers, a film directed by Jo Sung-hee who made headlines for being the first South Korean sci-fi blockbuster in the history of cinema. In fact, this is an ambitious project that looks intimidatedly at American productions, cousins that in the genre are almost unbeatable, at least as regards live-action projects. The story of the film is very complex and full of details. Set in 2092, whereevery forest has now vanished on Earth, in the midst of desertification, the powerful UTS Corporation looks beyond the confines of the sky, building an orbiting Eden for humanity.
Greenland
Of asteroids, planets and celestial bodies on a collision course with our planet, the film world has crossed many but, frankly, seeing Greenland – disaster movie directed by Ric Roman Waugh – in this catastrophic 2020 is really a bit strange. Waugh, a former stuntman with a career on the sets of films such as Universal Soldier, Last Action Hero and The Crow, brings to the screen the latest in a long series of stories where a comet from nowhere is about to erase life from planet Earth.
Spiderhead
This is the big moment for Joseph Kosinski. It is obvious that when the praises of Top Gun: Maverick are being spread the first person that springs to mind is the iconographic Tom Cruise, smiling and tanned next to his F-18, sly as if he were aware from the poster of global greatness that the sequel to an already cult film of his would have aroused. A majesty, theoretical and spectacular, which we also talked about in the review of Top Gun Maverick, which shows that Kosinski’s hand behind the camera is still a guarantee of entertainment. He could therefore only intrigue his return, really in a short time, this time on smaller screens given the release of his Spiderhead betweenthe June 2022 films from Netflix, in which his “Rooster” Miles Teller is brought, this time being joined by superhero actor Chris Hemsworth.

Mr. Harrigan’s Phone
Based on a short story by Stephen King, Mr. Harrigan’s phone is ready to conquer Netflix. Adapted for the screen and directed by John Lee Hancock, it is produced by Ryan Murphy, Jason Blum and Carla Hacken. At the center of the film is the story of a boy who becomes attached to Mr. Harrigan who treats him like a father. When he dies Craig inserts a phone into the man’s coffin and … receives replies to his messages! The cast is an old acquaintance of Stephen King fans and film adaptations inspired by his works. We’re talking about Jaeden Martell, who played Bill Denbrough in It (2017). With these assumptions, we are sure it will enter Netflix’s top ten, while proving to be a weak thriller.
Luckiest Girl Alive
Like Stieg Larsson’s “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, Gillian Flynn’s “Gone Girl” and Paula Hawkins’ “The Girl on the Train”, Jessica Knoll’s “Luckiest Girl Alive” is a psychological thriller titled “Girl” which is became a pop cultural sensation and was destined for adaptation: in the case of the latter, a Netflix film with Knoll as the screenplay, Mike Barker (“The Sandman”, “The Handmaid’s Tale”) as directing and Mila Kunis offering one of the most impactful interpretations of his beautiful film career. This is a tough and sometimes somber and difficult endeavor to watch, with a series of brutally intense scenes depicting rape and gun violence. (If that kind of material hits you in a way that will leave a lasting impact, this isn’t the movie for you.) “Luckiest Girl Alive” is set in 2015 (the year the novel was released) and the first once you see Ani from Kunis, she’s shopping for luxury cutlery in Manhattan with her boyfriend Luke (Finn Wittrock) – and when the condescending salesman asks “little” Ani to hold a pair of knives in her hands for a idea of the weight, she looks down and sees the knives covered in blood, and Luke on the floor.
Persuasion
Persuasion is the last book Jane Austen wrote before she died. As in all her novels, the ideas transmitted are very powerful, albeit hidden behind the events, returned with the discretion that characterizes the style and stories of Austen, with her heroines so attentive to the surrounding reality and always clear intelligence. In the new Netflix original adaptation (the third, in order of release is Roger Mitchell’s 1995 film and Adrian Shergold’s 2007 film), the protagonist Anne Elliott is played by Dakota Johnson, who after being persuaded to leave her beloved sailor Frederick Wentworth because he was too poor, he pined for love for eight years, before meeting him again.
Old People
The English-speaking title does not deceive us. As our review of Dangerous Old People reveals, the four-episode docuseries starting September 25 on Sky Documentaries and NOW is very Italian. Born from an idea of Roberto Saviano, created by Indigo Film under the direction of Giuseppe Di Vaio, Dangerous Old People follows a group of ex-Neapolitan inmates, men and women who ended up in the shirts of the Camorra, who have served sentences for violent crimes, theft, murder or drug dealing and then return to civil society.

The Trial of the Chicago 7
From The West Wing, through The Newsroom, to The Social Network, this screenwriter has demonstrated over the years his ability as a conjurer of words; the real leap in the dark was to extend this talent into directing. An attempt that was half-successful with Molly’s Game, where the still immature gaze of the director Sorkin was not at the level of that of the screenwriter Sorkin, and that for this reason has cloaked with curiosity the release of his new film, The Chicago 7 trial.
I Care a Lot
The most interesting news of the month of February in the Amazon Prime Video catalog is without a shadow of a doubt I Care a Lot : acid, unusual dark thriller dominated by an unstoppable Rosamund Pike, who in 2020 had already conquered the Toronto Film Festival and who triumphed tonight also at the Golden Globes 2021. A simple look at the trailer already promised a star clash, a battle between the titans, an authentic war to the death , since in the field we will find three villains with a decidedly human nature, engaged in a sordid intrigue, where no one is innocent.
Blonde
Blonde by Andrew Dominik contains within it a kaleidoscopic stratification on the life of the diva par excellence: Marilyn Monroe. Presented in Competition at Venice 79, the film is inspired by Joyce Carol Oates’ novel of the same name for which the director took eleven years to make it, between writing and meticulous casting research. But to talk about Blonde we must first underline a fundamental element for understanding Dominik’s work. Oates’s novel (published by La Nave di Teseo) is not a literary biopic in the classical sense of the term. The author has intertwined truth and fantasy giving life to pages capable of evoking the life and the most excruciating pains of the Hollywood actress.
Royalteen
Royalteen is a teen drama / romance film directed by Per-Olav Sørensen and Emilie Beck and starring Ines Høysæter Asserson, Mathias Storhøi and Elli Müller Osborne, along with other cast members. It lasts about 107 minutes. Royalteen begins with flashbacks from Lena’s past life. These flashbacks are introduced to lead the viewer to guess the meaning. Some pieces are missing and the story will slowly complete the puzzle and give you an answer about the dark past of the protagonist.

A Perfect Pairing
A Perfect Pairing is the original and perfectly fitting title for a comedy about love and wine. Stuart McDonald ‘s ( Black-ish , Crazy Ex-Girlfriend ) Netflix film tells the unlikely adventure of a young Las Angeles sommelier who, to make her dream come true, “drops everything” and flees to Australia. With a pindaric flight, the protagonist and the viewer find themselves catapulted into a picturesque Australian farm.
The Unforgivable
It is already in Netflix ‘s weekly top ten The Unforgivable, the crime drama film written by Peter Craig, Courtenay Miles and Hilary Seitz, and directed by Nora Fingscheidt, available for viewing on the streaming platform from 10 December. The Unforgivable is based on the episodes of the British miniseries Unforgiven. A film not to be missed if you want to see Sandra Bullock, the protagonist of the feature film, acting alongside Viola Davis and Vincent D’Onofrio, while he manages to convey the strength of soul in the face of pain, even heroic and exemplary, required of his character and all the emotional tension with the marked expressions of his face.
The Takedown
Ten years after being forced to work together, mismatched cops Ousmane (Omar Sy) and Francois (Laurent Lafitte) find themselves working on a case again following the discovery of a body on a train. There’s nothing groundbreaking about friend cop movies at this point, yet they still work. Sure, The Takedown might not be one of the greats of the subgenre, but it had all the right moving parts and was a fun way to spend a few hours. What these types of films live and die for are their characters, not just as individuals, but also with how they present themselves as a duo.
Halftime
The SuperBowl was one of the last big events of 2020 before the pandemic stopped everything. But in addition to the usual musical entertainment that the Halftime Show has always represented, the 54th edition went further by colliding with an unprecedented political statement. It could not be otherwise when two of the most important Latin American artists of the scene, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, are called on stage, while orders are sent from the White House to lock up those who try to cross the Mexican border. And this is what Halftime, the documentary produced by Netflix and directed by Amanda Micheli, tries to tell.
Scary movies on Netflix
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The fade in the introduction anticipates the discovery of one of the most repugnant crimes in American history; to confirm this is the following sequence. Eerie electronic music echoes in the darkness, cleaver blows and wheezing breathing can be heard in the background as an intermittent light illuminates parts of decaying cadaver. Finally we hear from a radio the news of the desecration of a Texan cemetery. The opening note makes it clear that the horror really happened; and with the impression of watching a reportage, we immerse ourselves completely in the story of four friends who cross these hostile territories. They are Pamela, Kirk, Sally and brother Franklin.
Choose or Die
Kayla (Iola Evans) is a young programmer who, due to a turbulent past and painful mourning, lives in chaos. She thus begins to play a strange and vintage survival game called Curs> r which is giving away a final prize (never claimed) of $ 125,000 to all gamers. The further she progresses in the game, the more Kayla realizes she has awakened an age-old curse. The dangerous challenges that Curs> r confronts her will force her to make choices that will end up distorting the very reality in which she lives. Trapped in her mechanism with the help of Isaac (Asa Butterfield) alone, Kayla will discover that there is no extra life, no cheat code, noreset to resolve the issue. Stopping is not an option: Choose or Die.
Hypnotic
Here on Netflix there is Hypnotic by Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote. The protagonist Jenn (Kate Siegel) is an engineer whose existence is falling apart: she has in fact recently separated from her ex due to a serious loss of her. She therefore pushed by her friend Gina (Lucie Guest), she decides to approach the therapies of the mysterious doctor Meade (Jason O’Mara), an expert hypnositherapist. A series of events will lead Jenn to doubt the doctor’s good intentions in carrying out her duties, but she may be too late by now, by virtue of her now acquired control over her mind.
The Nun
Following a mysterious suicide of a nun, found hanged outside a cloistered convent in Romania, the Vatican sends a priest ( Demiàn Bichir ), a nun who has yet to take vows ( Taissa Farmiga, sister of Vera Farmiga, protagonist of the two The Conjuring ) and the farmer who found the body ( Jonas Bloquet ) to investigate in those sinister lands to discover the reason for this extreme gesture. What the three will discover will be a convent consumed by evil, a demon who would like to escape from those walls and which the nuns are keeping trapped with prayer.

The Devil All the Time
Violence has ancient and deep roots in human history: it is genetic, handed down and modernized to each generation, taking hold the more the context that surrounds the person allows it. But the scientific origins are not the fulcrum at the base of The Devil all the time: the work instead wants to investigate the spiritual and philosophical motivations, probing the human soul and prompting a reflection that puts it in contrast with the natural order of things, wondering if such actions are part of a larger plan, if they are spontaneous and governed solely by chance, or if they are both.
The Beguiled
The Beguiled is the latest work by Sofia Coppola who, for the occasion, engages in the re-adaptation of a novel by Thomas P. Cullinan. Virginia, 1864, American Civil War. Miss Farnsworth (Nicole Kidman) finds herself running a school for girls alone in a villa isolated from the world, in the vicinity of which a few soldiers sporadically pass, the only source of information from the front. Together with her, to help her in the everyday management and to share the tasks, even in assuming the role of model for the young guests, there is the disillusioned and taciturn Edwina, played by Kirsten Dunst, a true fetish actress of the American director.
Do Revenge
Netflix ‘s dark-comedy Do Revenge officially makes its debut on the streaming platform. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson is the director of this ambitious film that mixes comedy, drama and romance into a teenage revenge story that manages to deeply explore a range of interesting themes and ideas. Each character is at the same time the hero and the villain and this, according to the director, was her way of painting the colors of adolescence with various shades. The protagonists are Drea, played by Camila Mendes of Riverdale, and Eleanor, played by Maya Hawke of Stranger Things.
Enola Holmes
Who is Enola Holmes ( Millie Bobby Brown)? Her surname suggests her kinship with the much more famous Sherlock ( Henry Cavill ), England’s best detective, and with the equally intelligent Mycroft (Sam Claflin), the laziest but most affectionate older brother of the three. Do not confuse it with the Eurus Holmes of the BBC series with Benedict Cumberbatch :even that sister, like Enola herself, is a posthumous creation to the novels of Arthur Conan Doyle. Anagrammato, the name of the protagonist of the new Netflix original film becomes Alone, and indeed the young Enola was raised by her mother Eudoria ( Helena Bonham Carter) far from dizzying London, in the countryside, without friends.

Fear Street: 1994
From the writing of RL Stine, the first film in the Fear Street series offers fun at every turn and a constant sense of threat that manages to best characterize most of the acts developed. Produced by Chernin Entertainment and released July 2, 2021 on Netflix , Fear Street Part 1: 1994 is part of a solid narrative construction that will have to be spread over the arc of a trilogy with a scheduled and weekly release (Fear Street Part II on 9 July and Part III on 16).
Annabelle
“Annabelle” is set during the seventies and we find in their home, and later in their new apartment, some typically vintage objects, such as a large television with giant antenna, antique lamps and telephones and an antique sewing machine, which they will do nothing but be receptors of fear in the strongest scenes, when the director takes the tension to the extreme: then the television will jump, the sewing machine will start working without being activated, an old record player will operate itself, and the books they will fall off the shelves.
The Conjuring
In retrospect, it is indeed evident how much the Conjuring saga was at the center of a slow transformation that led it to embrace the logic of the Franchise Age, a metamorphosis that with The Conjuring – By order of the devil, reaches its stage the final. After all, the change of pace can already be understood from the excellent opening, which aggressively citing both The Exorcist and Carrie ‘s De Palma, it seems to want to exhaust in a raptus the debt citing of a saga that is now ready to change the rules of its own game. From that moment the film in fact moves through a series of conscious anomalies, which rethink the well-established mechanisms of the film, a bit like what happens with the demonic presence against which the Warren are confronted, which at first almost corrodes the traits of the Roma com. And yet even that demon is a misdirection, since the pair of investigators, this time called to exonerate the young Arne Cheyenne Johnson, accused of a murder actually committed by the demon who possessed him, will actually clash with the Occultist, the first human villain of the saga.
Annabelle 2
A 2016 follow-up had then told a further case of the couple to return now, in 2017, to add details on the aforementioned doll, with an Annabelle 2: Creation digging into the past to show us its birth. What has come to be created, in an increasingly conscious way, is a real The Conjuring Universe capable of not envying the most famous narrative universes that are depopulating in recent years, from Marvel to DC Comics. A dark universe full of terror, which in the coming years will expand with a new sequel to the main Warren vein (we talk about an investigation into a case of werewolf ), a second spin-off The Nun in the works for 2018 and a third, The Crooked Man, already announced for the following year, both inspired by characters introduced in The Conjuring – The Enfield case.

365 dni
If there is a film that, more than any other in recent years, has disproved the cliché about criticism that dissuades the public when reviews are negative, it is the one that justifies our being here to write the review of 365 Days: Now, sequel to the Netflix phenomenonof 2020. A film that, between unenthusiastic reactions that paradoxically stimulated the public (in the specific case of the writer, it was the most read review of the whole year) and controversial related to a plot that made so much apology for rape, has become an unprecedented success for the platform (in terms of number of days in first place in the various Top 10 around the world). As this is the adaptation of the first tome of a literary trilogy, the two sequels, shot at the same time, were inevitable (the third episode should arrive in streaming by the end of the year). And almost certainly the success will be replicated, even considering the factor of the domestic vision that does not involve the purchase of the single title.
Red Notice
In the first weekend in which it was available, Red Notice broke records of views at the debut. The credit is obviously not only of Johnson, but also of the other two protagonists of the film – Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot – and more generally of a decent push from Netflix marketing. The background of history, indeed of history, is a precious gift that Marcus Antony gave to Cleopatra for their wedding: three eggs studded with jewels. Those eggs were lost for millennia, until two were found in 1907. And here comes John Hartley (The Rock), an FBI profiler who is in Rome with an Interpol team to prevent the theft of a Cleopatra egg from the Castel Sant’Angelo Museum. The Interpol inspector closes the museum with people inside when John realizes that the egg on display is a fake put in place of the real one, but Nolan Booth (Reynolds), an internationally renowned art thief, manages to to escape.
The Adam Project
What would you say to your 12-year-old yourself? Probably nothing: you would hate yourself. But we often ask ourselves this by watching The Adam Project, the latest discovery of family cinema expected on Netflix on Friday 11 March 2022. Let’s turn the question over: what would you let yourself be taught by your 12-year-old? Here is the change of perspective useful to keep The Adam Project in the drawer of little surprises. As simple and predictable as it is sweet and unexpected. The sci-fi adventure starring Ryan Reynolds is a story of effective transversality, which by playing on the metaphorical opportunities of time travel manages to entertain the most varied inhabitants of the sofa in its entirety.
Hustle
Here is the umpteenth proof: sport filtered and reviewed through cinematic narration is the perfect metaphor to talk about life and its infinite, complex nuances. As in the case of Hustle, directed by Jeremiah Zagar (distributed by Netflix and produced by LeBron James among others), which behind the figure of the protagonist, Stanley Sugarman, builds a profound and exciting film about redemption and the value of emotions. Essential and fundamental when you want to achieve goals that seem impossible. So, everything revolves around Stanley, played by a great Adam Sandler, wrinkled but infallible talent scout for the Philadelphia 76ers, one of the most passionate but unlucky teams in the NBA (a bit like the New York Kinicks…).
Christmas movies on Netflix
Klaus
Every legend always has a grain of truth, even that of Santa Claus. The real origins of him derive from a real person, St. Nicholas bishop of Myra (in Turkey), of whom stories of miracles related to the resurrection of children were told and for this transformed into the protector of the little ones. From the Christian ones to the German and Icelandic folklore, the story of Santa Claus transposed on the big or small screen has always had a strong imaginative and magical element, a reason that prompted the animator and director Sergio Pablos to conceive an original story that contemplated above all the “earthly” aspect of the legend. This is how Klaus was born, the beautiful Christmas movie by Netflix around since 2015 and considered “too risky” by the studios, because developed in traditional animation and entirely hand-drawn, albeit with updated and contemporary techniques, with the main objective (technical side) to show the evolution of the classic style as opposed to digital animation productions.
A Castle for Christmas
The plot of A Castle for Christmas (2021). A famous American writer goes to Scotland to escape a scandal. Once there she falls in love with a Scottish castle and collides with the gruff Duke who owns it. The American writer Sophie comes to Scotland to acquire ownership of an ancient manor. She is drawn to the idea of finding the typical locations described in literature and she can’t wait to finish, but she can’t imagine facing a really tough obstacle. It is represented precisely by the current owner of the castle, Myles, a duke of other times who would not have any intention of giving up but, if he ever should, only to a Scotsman, and well.
Love Hard
Love Hard is the brand new Christmas movie available on Netflix from November 5, 2021. Already topping the platform’s charts in 87 countries, the comedy by Hernán Jiménez García tells the adventure of Natalie ( Nina Dobrev ), a Los Angeles writer who decides to go crazy for love: cross the country to spend Christmas with Josh ( Jimmy O. Yang ), the guy I met on a dating app. Romantic, light and ironic, Love Hard is the film suitable for the party atmosphere.
A Bad Moms Christmas
Bad Moms 2: A Bad Moms Christmas is the sequel to Bad Moms, the hilarious comedy also directed by the same directors. The three friends Amy, Kiki and Carla, also protagonists of the first film, this time they will have to deal with a new enemy: their respective mothers. These, returning to visit them for the Christmas holidays, try to obsessively control their life, to appear perfect or get some money and so, the three, tired of this situation, try again to rebel and save Christmas.

Senior Year
Senior year (released in Italy as “Cheerleader per semper”) by Alex Hardcastle is a comedy film that satirizes teen drama by comparing two generations: that of the 90s-00s and that of now. It all begins when Stephanie, an Australian girl, decides to become popular in 1999 and, in three years, surprisingly succeeds in the goal. Her life is perfect as she is a cheerleader, she is popular and she is with the hottest boy in school, but an accident during a performance leaves her in a coma, ruining her dreams and making her lose many years of life. Twenty years later, Stephanie wakes up and, to fulfill her dream of becoming a prom queen, she decides to go back to school to finish the last year, the so-called “senior year”. But Stephanie does not know that many things have changed in twenty years and, throughout history, she will have to face many of these radical changes.
The Secret Life of Pets
The choice to transform the original “The Secret Life of Pets” into the simpler Italian Secret Life of Pets, with which the film by Chris Renaud and Yarrow Cheney arrives in our cinemas, after a passage – in preview, may not have been trivial – for the 73rd Venice Film Festival. The disappearance of that adjective is indicative, and certainly more ‘honest’ than a trailer that had deluded us that we could finally find out what happens in our homes in our absence.
The Sea Beast
Animated films have certainly come a long way since Toy Story took its first timid steps into the digital unknown, and Chris Williams’ latest addition to the genre bears witness to that. From first to last scene, The Sea Beast is filled with what just a handful of years ago might have been considered an animator’s worst nightmare. Oceans of water, complex hairstyles and a cast almost entirely made up of human characters.
The Man from Toronto
Released somewhat quietly, The Man from Toronto, an action comedy directed by Patrick Hughes, has been available on Netflix (exclusively) since June 24th . Actually I don’t know if he really went out on the sly. I mean, at least in my house it was like that, considering that they had to warn me from the editorial staff of a release that, to be honest, I don’t think it enjoyed a penetrating hype.

Along for the Ride
Netflix’s latest teen-focused love movie is Long For The Run, based on Sarah Dessen’s 2009 novel of the same name. It’s the first of Netflix’s adaptations of Dessen’s popular young adult novels, with the streaming service optioning the rights for two more, This Lullaby and Once and For All. For her part, Lungo per la corsa is also the directorial debut of Sofia Alvarez, who also wrote the screenplay. The director wrote Netflix’s popular teen romantic comedy To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and its sequel, To All the Boys: PS I Still Love You -both were also based on novels for young adults, albeit by Jenny Han. Long for the ride follows in place of her. Long for the ride captures the magic of young adulthood and first love, delivering a recognizable coming-of-age story with a sweet love story.
Incantation
Films shot using the ” found footage ” technique are generally more disturbing than scary and through our review of Incantation we will find that the new Taiwanese horror directed by Kevin Ko is no exception to this rule. Given their penchant for displaying terrifying images in a realistic way, films of this type are very fascinating to the viewer and this new Netflix production does a decent job in that regard: its eerie atmosphere and the compelling performances of Tsai Hsuan-yen, Huang Sin-ting and Kao.
Without Saying Goodbye
From 18 March 2022 the Netflix catalog of romantic films has been enriched with The word goodbye does not exist , an Italian title translated from the original Backpackers, literally travelers with a backpack. In fact, the film, directed by Bruno Ascenzo, actor and author of films and TV series purely in Spanish, has in its will to trace a sentimental-landscape itinerary of breathtaking views in the most ancestral Peru, to discover a territory in which nature still prevails with resilience on concrete castings.
Fistful of Vengeance
Kung fu will never stop enchanting us. The oriental martial arts are a jumble of granite disciplines carved in the minds of their warriors, who follow the doctrines handed down for countless centuries with such an iron fidelity as to lick religion. In the field of cinema, the most illustrious titles of the genre often come from the East of the world, but the West has also been able to assimilate its fundamental values by allowing itself some noteworthy forays.

Pieces of a Woman
In Pieces of a Woman, portrait of a person’s disintegration and their healing process to try to return to normal, there are three reasons to pay attention to this late entry into the seasonal “beautiful people in pain” lottery. (It was released in US theaters and has been streaming on Netflix since January 7.) The first is “The Scene,” the centerpiece that kicks off the drama. We have already briefly met Martha (Vanessa Kirby, formerly Coppa Volpi in Venice 77), a future mother a few days after giving birth. And her partner Sean (Shia LaBeouf), a construction worker who is building a bridge in Boston, was also introduced. She is affectionate, brilliant, maternal; he is gruff, simple and, according to her own description of her, crude (“Here, a word for Scarabeo,” she adds).
All the Bright Places
With All the Bright Places, based on the novel of the same name by Jennifer Niven, the American director Brett Haleytakes the side of the freaks and paints the tragic love story of two teenagers from Illinois. Theodore Finch and Violet Markey are the apparently ideal couple with an already stormy past who will share moments of ineffable happiness between caresses, kisses and hugs. He is the adventurer we all would like to be, rebellious and nonconformist, out of the categorizing logic of the American school system, he lives with his sister and a mother he never sees, he can always count on his lifelong friends, he had an alcoholic and violent father.
Fatherhood
After a long wait dictated by the pandemic, Sony decides to pass the ball to Netflix which distributes on its platform on June 18, 2021 Un padre (Fatherhood), a comedy-drama by Paul Weitz based on the memoir by Matthew Logelin Two Kisses for Maddy : A Memoir of Loss and Love.
